NIKE FLYKNIT HTM CHUKKA 2013

Style ambassador Hiroshi Fujiwara, Nike design legend Tinker Hatfield and Nike Inc. CEO and designer Mark Parker have once again collaborated to deliver the latest chapter in the story of Nike Flyknit technology. The Nike HTM Flyknit Chukka.

Nike Flyknit technology came about as the result of a design process that set out to combine performance innovation with reduced environmental impact. The resulting manufacturing innovation generated increased lightness with an improved fit — a shoe that behaved like second skin, adapting to the shape and movement of the foot in motion.

Another benefit of the Nike Flyknit process was to reduce manufacturing waste significantly. In creating the Nike Flyknit’s woven upper, Nike engineers and designers managed to reduce two thirds of manufacturing waste, by weight, when compared to typical running performance shoes.

The latest addition to the Nike HTM line blends the clean, modern style of the chukka boot with Nike Flyknit technology, creating an iconic new silhouette. The knitted, form-fitting upper is enhanced by Nike Flywire technology and a Nike Lunar outsole.

The Nike HTM Flyknit Chukka appears in two colors, both drawing on a winter-inspired “Snow Style” palette. The first shoe blends the natural tones of grey and blue with a white highlight detail, while the second, more muted version, features a subtle mix of grey and white.

Launching in February 2013, the Nike HTM Flyknit Chukka continues to push the already revolutionary Nike Flyknit technology to a new level by evolving it for the street. They will be available at select retailers around the world and at Nike Stadium Milan, Nike Stadium Paris and 1948 in London.
