SOLEBOX x Sinn – U2 Diving Watch

SOLEBOX x Sinn U2 Diving Watch

Forged from true amagnetic steel utilized by Nordseewerke (North Sea Work) Shipyard in Emden, Germany, the timepiece created by watch maker Sinn truly exemplified the term “professional grade”. Then again, the company is no stranger to its association as a supplier to professional of the extreme. The founder of the company, Helmut Sinn, was a pilot and flight instructor. Before the age of GPS and terrain following radar, the watch was an essential tool in plotting courses. However, dissatisfied with all the contrived timepieces in the marketplace at the time, Sinn established a timepiece company with a single purpose – to supply the professionals.

Based on its popular U2 Diving Watch, the collaborative timepiece pictured here is one of only ten made. Featured an emblazoned “solebox” dial face in black. Other unique features include:

  • Pressure-resistant to 200 bar (corresponds to approximately 2,000 m diving depth), certified by Germanischer Lloyd Hamburg
  • Case made of German submarine steel
  • Completely seawater-resistant
  • Viton-base water resistant seals
  • All case components, clasp and bracelet with TEGIMENT Technology and Black Hard Coating
  • Captive diver’s bezel with 4.2mm Sapphire crystal glass with state-of-the-art anti-reflective coating technology
