Moving weight.
There was a sneaker heist this past week.
A tractor trailer filled with 3,000 pairs of Nike Air Max 90 shoes headed for Foot Locker was stolen and had its entire cargo unloaded before being abandoned.
The robbery happened in Junction City, Kansas, and police think there may be a connection to a Kansas City kicks heist in late December where 4,700 pairs of the Jordan Classic 90 shoe were jacked.
Nike Air Max 90 shoes typically retail for $95 which values this caper around a street value of $285,000 worth of merchandise.
So if someone’s offering to sell you a pair or 3,000 of Nike Air Max’s, police are asking you to contact their TIPS Hotline at 816-474-8477.
