The prognosis of its demise is a bit premature. In fact, the recent sale of A Bathing Ape (BAPE) to Hong Kong’s I.T Ltd. Maybe a boost to the label. It certainly will free up available time for Nigo and BAPE’s design team to revitalize parts of collection. For the time being, BAPE is focusing its effort again on the cut & sewn renditions. In terms of sales, the cut & sewn portion of BAPE is slowly becoming its centerpiece. While t-shirts and hoodies are still the staples for most BAPE fans, those looking for a versatile outfit will find the collection of plaid shirts, camo polos, B-15 jacket, and fitted cargo pants accommodating. For some added touch of accent, a new G-Shock collaboration will make its debut this season too.
